Trips & Excursions

Travel expands your horizons and school life cannot be complete without the fun of educational tours and excursions. These trips are tailor made to facilitate the students to know and understand the real, multicultural world. A host of activities are undertaken as a part of trips which act as a catalyst to think out of the box and broaden the outlook. The school discreetly organizes educational trips to strategically and historically important places and facilitates for students to reach out for information beyond the text books.

These trips are meticulously planned to add fun and enthusiasm during vacation period. These trips also extend a much needed break from the hectic daily schedule and an opportunity for the facilitators and learners to bond with each other.

Adventure Camps

School Adventure Camps are designed to help the students learn something challenging from the outdoors. We try to engage them in team activities and infuse positive attitude by helping them to live the uncertain, and accomplish the impossible.

These activities keep them excited & engaged, while they breathe fresh air, climb mountains, and explore and absorb from nature.

“Kanchan Surya Darjeeling Baghan Trek”

Around 500 NCC cadets from across the country set out for a 60 kilometers long ‘Kanchan Surya Darjeeling Baghan Trek’ (KSDBT), in the Darjeeling hills.

Visit to Kargil and Leh-Ladakh

A trip to Karil and Leh-Ladakh was organized by Salwan Education Trust in which two students of our school participated to embark on a journey to be a part of Vijay Diwas Celebrations. The visit aimed at giving the students an opportunity to appreciate and understand the challenges that the Indian Army faces from close quarters and also to get inspiration from them.

Educational Trip to BEG&C, Roorkee

An Educational Trip to Bengal Engineer’s Group & Co., Roorkee is a regular event. Students are taken to witness ‘Exercise Jal Tarang’ a demonstration on various combat engineering tasks and capabilities of combat engineer’s equipment by Bengal Sappers.

It is a great learning experience for everyone. In addition to viewing the Jal Tarang and learning about Army life, the students learn etiquettes, punctuality and a disciplined life style. Surely our girls feel motivated and the feeling of nationalism dormant within hearts is activated.

Although in the current academic session, due to the ongoing pandemic, the students have not participated in any excursion but they have been exposed to the rich cultural diversity of Sikkim through various activities under the CBSE Art Integration Project.

Environmental Initiatives

Eco club in our school empowers students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It helps students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum. While everyone, everywhere, asserts the importance of ‘learning to live sustainably,’ environment remains a peripheral issue in the formal schooling system. It is not just an extracurricular activity but is a priority for us.

The school has undertaken the following projects:-

Rain Water Harvesting – The school has taken an initiative to educate children about the dire need to preserve drinking water and to ensure adequate water supply for future generations.

Health & Well-Being

Health and wellbeing are the fundamental preconditions for learning and development. Special assemblies, workshops and counselling sessions are planned around the year to promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the students and the staff. An annual health check up by specialists from a certified hospital is a regular feature and a medical record of each and every child is maintained.
