CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Every activity in school life plays a significant role in development of students. Co-curricular activities are an essential part of school life and helps in enhancing learning process of students at school. Co-curricular activities are designed and balanced with academic curriculum so that every student gets to learn beyond subjects.

Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students. It includes cultural events, Library activities, science lab activities, classroom activities, creative arts, yoga and meditation etc.

Music

Music is arguably the most life-enriching academic subject. A universal language that triggers emotional responses and kick starts creativity like no other. Music is one of the most creatively stimulating tasks any person can undertake. 

Musical training stimulates and trains the same part of the brain that deals with understanding language. Children who have some exposure to musical education will, therefore, have a greater understanding of tone and how different segments of speech align. It can also be incredibly useful if your child is learning a second language.

Sports

The objective of sports is the enrichment of the school experiences of students within the context of the educational mission of the school. Salwan Girls School is presently providing sports facilities viz Volleyball, Cricket, Athletics, Yoga and Golf. Sports impart important lessons of team work, time management, self discipline and comradeship. Our students have been bringing laurels to the school in various competitions.
