ATL Community Day is dedicated to fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among students. Schools with Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs) organize this event to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary jurist and social reformer.
The objectives of ATL Community Day include:
Fostering Innovation
Promoting STEM Education
Bridging the Gap
Developing Critical Thinking
Inspiring Entrepreneurship
On April 9th, 2025, ATL Community Day was celebrated at our school. We invited two non-ATL schools and one ATL school to participate, creating an inclusive environment for all students. The event focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEM-related activities aimed at nurturing students’ skills and their overall growth.
The program featured three interactive sessions:
Session 1: Students warmed up with a newspaper crafting activity, where they designed different types of caps and life jackets. This activity encouraged teamwork and creative exploration.
Session 2: Participants engaged in the Gravity Glide challenge, designing a smooth path for a marble using paper roller coasters. The project sparked creativity and problem-solving in the students.
Session 3: Students were tasked with creating straw helicopters and sound instruments using materials such as ice-cream sticks, matchsticks, paper strips, and rubber bands. The hands-on activity fueled their imagination.
